ITHACA is a creative project born from the love for a woman who inspired the idea of a tailor made eyewear, designed to evoke and express her allure.
Started out as fascinating game of seduction it quickly turned into a creative journey surrounded by knowledge, discovery, attempts, disappointments, obstacles and satisfactions.
The choice of the material and the design of the frame is closely linked to the woman’s character, emphasizing the expressiveness of her facial features and giving a special allure. The result is a unique object and a valuable adjunct of everyday life.
Ithaca symbolizes the origin, the reason and at the same time the destination of the long journey, better explained as a design process, similar to the legendary Ulysses and his Odyssey.
Under these ideals Ithaca became a tailor made fashion firm based in Milan, and make its debut with the first model “Afrodite”.
